MOVE FREELY - Sneak and explore around the dark and gritty medieval province and use the environment to your advantage - use your rope to grapple onto rooftops, silently drop from ceilings, or veil yourself in the shadows. Stealth games generally rely on enemy NPCs who aren't great at their jobs, and Shadwen, a very linear, third-person game of sneaking and murder, is no exception. While the core experience and some of its mechanics, such as the time manipulation mechanics, are quite well done, the game suffers from a general lack of polish, an average last-gen presentation and a rather limited amount of content. She follows Shadwen on her dangerous journey, but when the ruthless guards get too close, Shadwen must take action right in front of Lily's eyes. Shadwen is a competent and somewhat enjoyable stealth game, but not exactly memorable. Shadwen, an assassin on a quest to kill the king, has a chance encounter with an orphaned girl, Lily. Stay hidden – or the ruthless guards will kill you on sight! Shadwen’s attempts at the king of Rivendon’s life is still her primary objective, but with Lily along, the rules change. Shadwen is a stealth game where the only rule is to remain unseen. Shadwen is an assassin, and at the outset you’re shown that Lily isn’t much more than a street urchin who’s lost her parents, and it’s Shadwen’s luck-good or bad-that happens to save Lily.
